Achieve monthly budget goals and new business targets.
To be financially aware of the hotel’s objectives and do all possible to accomplish targets.
To ensure hotel occupancy and average rate targets are sustained in line with projections detailed in the Annual Business Plan.
To establish sales targets and highlight any variances with actual sales figures and recommend what action should be taken to remedy significant variances.
To practice and promote the Dorsett Hotel Philosophy and Values.
To maximize his/her personal contacts and inform Director of Sales of any discrepancies observed in style and culture.
To follow and enforce the policies and manual of Dorsett Kuala Lumpur.
Considering his/her role as a representative of the Hotel, he/she will conduct himself/herself correctly in a professional manner, following always the “Philosophy and Values of Dorsett Kuala Lumpur ".
Set an example of honesty and professionalism inside and outside of the Hotel.
To ensure the profitability of his/her Department for short, medium and long term by assuming the total responsibility of the functions assigned to him/her with a special emphasis on increasing sales, reduce expenditure, preserve and maintain the assets.
Implements all sales action plans related to his/her market areas as outlined in the Marketing Plan.
Ensure that the Hotel’s computer system is continually up dated with companies profile, activity report, sales call report and that records are always correct and complete
Attends major travel functions (i.e. trade shows and promotional events) that deals specifically with his/her market areas.
Establishes and maintains files on major active accounts within his/her market areas.
Promotes and produces sales leads for other Dorsett properties.
Plans sales trips, under the direct approval of Director of Sales to major market areas, calling on accounts with his/her specific market areas. Reports to Director of Sales on potential markets needing coverage.
Provides feedback to the Director of Sales on changing market conditions, including trends in the competition, as result of direct sales solicitation, telephone and direct mail, in his/her market areas.
Arranges familiarization/site inspection to Hotels by major clients.
Disseminates sales related information to other departments as appropriate
Participates in weekly/monthly Sales & Marketing meeting.
Maintains a high level of exposure for the Hotel in major market areas through direct sales solicitation, telephone, fax, telex contacts written communications.
Attends all pre-conference meetings, as required, arranged by the Food & Beverages Department and assists in the preparation of post-conference reports.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
Establishes and maintains effective employee relations.
Maintains the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and attitudes towards all Hotel guests, clients and associates.
Maintains professional business confidentiality.
Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
To practice and promote the department’s mission.
Entertain agents or corporate clients within the hotel to obtain business, whether this be for lunch, dinner or breakfast.
To assist in collection of any amount owing to Dorsett Regency Hotel (M) Sdn Bhd and any rooms reservation pre-payment.
To perform all other duties than the above requested by the Hotel’s Management, the Company and his/her direct Superior.
