Responsibility of supervising all assigned employees responsible for the cleanliness of the dish washing and kitchen area to be able to replace the Chief Steward and Assistant Chief Steward.
Responsible for the overall cleaning and hygiene activities within all Food and Beverage areas.
Monitors all stewarding operating costs, and takes corrective action as necessary. The Stewarding Coordinator has to report to duty on time.
Maximizes employee productivity in order to minimize payroll/costs.
To check that the staff are on time for duty and to give them briefing on the job and the shift.
To check all the chemicals that are required for the shift are available, especially those required by the pot wash and dish washer. To check the temperature and chemical level is correct.
To inspect the kitchen area and check that the dish washing machines are in good condition. Any job which has to be done should be made known to the steward, all jobs assign should be followed up.
To check the daily function requisition forms from the steward office, and prepare the equipment for the banquet set-up. To give proper instruction to the Stewaring staff for the daily Buffet Set-up chaffing dish requirement to make sure he is on time to set-up for the function.
To make sure the garbage bins in the entire kitchen area are changed and clean up.
Should inspect the areas when all the staff has finished their job and to make sure all unnecessary lighting is switched off. Also to make sure the dish washing machine power supply is shut off and the steam valves closed properly.
Maximizes personal and team members’ productivity and morale whilst consistently maintaining discipline, following hotel guidelines and local legislation.
Report all accidents, health and safety hazards to the Chief Steward. To maintain all hotel records and form as prescribed by the Dorsett International Hotel & Resorts management and policies.
Writes out maintenance requests if necessary and check on completion. To perform any other duties as directed by the management.
Strong communication and writing both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Computer literate, Presentable with good personality and positive attitude.
Maximum with 3- 5 year experience in related field.
Immediate availability will be preferred and added advantage.
