Job Responsibilities:
Review requisitions for completeness and accuracy, follow up on discrepancies with the Departments, identify available suppliers for each requisitioned item.
Organize and maintain computerized records containing vendor information.
Process requisitions into purchase orders and resulting change orders.
Receive, open, screen, log and date stamps responses/quotations, mail as required and organize for review.
Perform general clerical duties such as maintaining general files, typing, data entry, completing and processing standard purchasing forms.
Correspond with vendors regarding prices, product availability, and delivery.
Respond to inquiries from the vendor/department regarding requisitions, purchase orders, contracts and pricing information.
Assist in answering incoming calls.
Perform related work as required.
Job Requirements:
Good communication skills in dealing with purchasing.
Self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility and able to work under pressure with tight timeline.
Experience in hospitality will be an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, knowledge specialized purchasing software will be in plus.
